Hora dourada, hora azul e crepúsculo em Moshi. Dados astronômicos NASA JPL DE441.
Conselho fotográfico
Any flat position in Moshi facing due north at sunrise: the Kilimanjaro massif fills the upper half of the frame above the foothill farmland, with the Kibo dome and Mawenzi peak both visible on clear mornings. Pre-dawn arrival is essential — the summit is typically cloud-free only in the first 2 hours after sunrise.
Moshi sits at 3.4°S, 880 m elevation, at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 m) in Tanzania. Golden hour lasts around 21 minutes. Kilimanjaro is a free-standing volcanic massif and dominates the northern horizon from any position in Moshi when visible. The mountain generates its own cloud cover by late morning most days, making the window from first light until approximately 9 AM the critical period for clear summit views. The Uhuru Peak ice fields catch first light from the northeast; at sunrise, the summit transitions from deep blue to gold to white in under 5 minutes. The Chagga coffee farmland (1,000–1,800 m on the lower slopes) provides agricultural foreground. The dry seasons (July–August and December–February) offer the best summit visibility.
