Hora dourada, hora azul e crepúsculo em Muscat. Dados astronômicos NASA JPL DE441.

Conselho fotográfico

Al Riyam Park lookout at sunset: face northwest over Mutrah Corniche for the full harbour panoramic — sea, corniche arc, and Hajar ridge as backdrop. The two Portuguese forts on the headlands light up amber in the last 10 minutes before the sun drops behind the western ridge.

Muscat occupies a coastal basin hemmed between the rugged Hajar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman at 23.6°N. Golden hour lasts roughly 25 minutes. The old Muscat area holds Al Jalali and Al Mirani Forts — 16th-century Portuguese fortifications on the headlands flanking the harbour — which catch the first and last direct light before the mountains block the sun. The Mutrah Corniche (2.5 km promenade) faces north-northwest and receives the full western sky at sunset. From the Al Riyam Park lookout, the composition includes the harbour, the corniche, the forts, and the Gulf simultaneously. The dry season (October–April) produces reliable clear skies; summer humidity thickens the atmosphere.
