Hora dourada, hora azul e crepúsculo em Phnom Penh. Dados astronômicos NASA JPL DE441.

Conselho fotográfico

Sisowath Quay at sunrise: face east-northeast over the Mekong for the sunrise arc directly over the water, with the gold roof tiles of the Royal Palace visible in the left frame. In the dry season, arrive 20 minutes before sunrise — the light transitions from blue to orange in under 5 minutes at this latitude.

Phnom Penh sits at 11.6°N at the confluence of the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers. Golden hour lasts around 21 minutes and produces intense warm-toned light in the dry season. The main photographic axis is the Sisowath Quay waterfront (east-facing), where the sun rises directly over the Mekong. The Royal Palace complex and the Silver Pagoda sit just inland — the khmer gold and terracotta roof tiles respond dramatically to direct morning light from the east. Sunset is best from the Koh Pich bridge or the Tonle Sap side, where the sun sets due west over the river. The dry season (November–March) provides reliable clear mornings; the monsoon season produces dramatic cloud formations that extend usable light beyond the standard window.
