Hora dourada, hora azul e crepúsculo em Montevideo. Dados astronômicos NASA JPL DE441.

Conselho fotográfico

Rambla de Pocitos northeast section at dawn: face northeast over the Plata for flat river light. Ciudad Vieja waterfront at sunset for the harbour mouth and the river to the northwest in warm fading light.

Montevideo faces north and northeast across the Río de la Plata. The Rambla, a 22-kilometer coastal promenade, runs continuously from Punta Carretas in the southwest to Punta Gorda in the northeast, giving unobstructed river-horizon views in multiple directions. At -34.9°S, golden hour lasts about 37 minutes. The southern hemisphere orientation means sunrise comes from the northeast and sunset falls in the northwest; the Rambla northeast-facing sections at Pocitos and Buceo receive golden morning light on the water. The Ciudad Vieja (Old City), on a small peninsula at the far west, faces all directions; the Cerro de Montevideo (143 m) on the opposite harbour shore gives a low commanding view across the mouth. Parque Rodó lake, near Pocitos, provides a calm reflection point for the eastern sky at dawn.
