Astrocartography
Astrocartography projects your natal chart onto the globe. For each of the twenty bodies in your chart, it calculates the geographic lines where that planet crossed the Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant, and IC at the exact moment of your birth.
Traditional astrology holds that proximity to these lines amplifies the symbolism of the corresponding planet. This tool produces the astronomical calculation. The interpretation remains yours.
The tool includes
Interactive world map
MapLibre GL map with 20 planetary bodies. Zoom, pan, and click any point to generate a relocated chart.
Side-by-side comparison
Compare two locations simultaneously. Each receives a symbolic resonance index based on proximity to natal lines.
Suggested places
220 world cities scored by proximity to favorable natal lines, grouped by resonance tier.
Aspect lines
Geometric aspects between planets — opposition, square, trine, sextile — projected geographically as distinct dashed lines.
Relocation chart
Click any map point to produce a natal chart relocated to those coordinates, with recalculated house cusps and angles.

Questions
- Is astrocartography predictive?
- No. Astrocartography is a symbolic tool from the astrological tradition. It identifies geographic coordinates mathematically. The interpretation of what those coordinates mean is symbolic, not deterministic.
- What calculation method does it use?
- Planetary positions computed from NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides. Angles calculated per the classical Lewis method. Rulerships follow modern tradition: Pluto for Scorpio, Uranus for Aquarius, Neptune for Pisces.
- Do I need an exact birth time?
- Yes, ideally. Without a precise time the angular lines (ASC and MC) cannot be calculated reliably. Planetary lines excluding ASC/MC/DSC/IC remain valid with an approximate time.
