About this chart
No birth time is documented for this person. The chart therefore shows planetary positions in their signs, the slow aspects between them, and the generational context — but not house placements, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven, which require an accurate birth time. The Moon's sign carries a ±6° margin: if it falls near a sign boundary, the sign could vary. Positions for all other planets are reliable.

The sky at birth
No birth time is documented for Katie Ledecky. The Ascendant, the Midheaven, and the house positions cannot be determined; the reading is confined to planetary sign placements and the aspects between planets. The positions below are calculated for noon local time and are accurate to a fraction of a degree for the slow-moving bodies.
The Moon is near 16°25' Cancer (noon position, ±7° margin). Sun is at 27°08' Pisces. Mercury is at 3°03' Aries. Venus is at 23°07' Pisces. Mars is at 26°37' Virgo, retrograde. Jupiter is at 12°18' Aquarius. Saturn is at 8°35' Aries. Uranus is at 7°24' Aquarius. Neptune is at 29°24' Capricorn. Pluto is at 5°34' Sagittarius, retrograde.
The tightest major aspects between planets: Sun opposite Mars (0°32'); Saturn sextile Uranus (1°11'); Uranus sextile Pluto (1°49'); Sun sextile Neptune (2°16'); Mercury trine Pluto (2°32'); Mars trine Neptune (2°47').
Uranus sextile Pluto (1°49') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.
The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Mercury semi-square Ceres (0°11'); Neptune quincunx Lilith (0°20'); Neptune trine North Node (0°22'); Pluto square Vesta (0°27'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.
The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context
Pluto crossed Sagittarius from 1995 to 2008. In astrological tradition this transit is associated with the transformation of belief, globalization, and the reach of information — the first generation to grow up fully inside the networked, globalized world.
Katie Ledecky (born 1997) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: Mark Spitz · Caeleb Dressel · Florence Griffith-Joyner. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading
The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.
The Sun in Pisces is the most prominent structural feature available without a birth time, centring the chart on imagination, dissolution, and empathy. There is no Ascendant or Midheaven to anchor the angles, so the reading rests on sign placements and the aspects between planets rather than on houses.
Among the personal planets, the Moon in Cancer is associated in tradition with attachment, memory, and protection (the Moon's sign is given for the noon chart and may shift with an exact time); Mercury in Aries with initiative, directness, and the will to begin; Venus in Pisces with imagination, dissolution, and empathy; and Mars in Virgo with analysis, craft, and the refinement of method. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.
Sun opposite Mars (0°32'): tradition reads identity and central purpose set in polarity with drive, assertion, and action.
Saturn sextile Uranus (1°11'): tradition reads structure, limitation, and discipline in supportive contact with disruption and innovation.
Uranus sextile Pluto (1°49'): tradition reads disruption and innovation in supportive contact with depth, power, and transformation.
Sun sextile Neptune (2°16'): tradition reads identity and central purpose in supportive contact with dissolution, imagination, and idealism.
These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.
Astrology is a symbolic language with 2,500 years of literature. The reading above is interpretive, not explanatory.
Astrian does not claim that the natal chart of Katie Ledecky caused or determined any of the above. Astrology is a symbolic system with 2,500 years of literature. Its capacity for retrospective description does not imply explanatory capacity.
A parallel life
The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.
Kathleen Genevieve Ledecky was born on March 17, 1997, in Washington, D.C. She grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, and began swimming competitively at the age of six at the Palisades Swim Club. Her uncle Jon Ledecky played ice hockey for the New York Islanders. She attended Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda.
Ledecky first came to international attention at the 2012 London Olympics at age 15, where she won the gold medal in the 800 meters freestyle as an unknown qualifier, setting an American record. This was the beginning of a sustained period of dominance in freestyle distance swimming. She went on to win gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyle events, along with a relay gold.
At the World Championships, Ledecky became the most decorated female swimmer in the history of the event, winning gold medals across the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyle events over multiple championship cycles. She has set and broken world records in the 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyle, some of which have stood for extended periods.
Ledecky competed as an amateur while attending Stanford University, where she studied political science. She turned professional in 2018. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (held in 2021), she won gold in the 800m and 1500m freestyle and silver in the 400m freestyle. She competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics and added further gold medals to her collection.
Ledecky has received numerous honors, including the Swimming World Magazine Swimmer of the Year award on multiple occasions. She is known for her exceptional endurance and pacing strategy in distance freestyle events, and her performances are frequently cited in sports literature as examples of sustained athletic dominance.
