About this chart
No birth time is documented for this person. The chart therefore shows planetary positions in their signs, the slow aspects between them, and the generational context — but not house placements, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven, which require an accurate birth time. The Moon's sign carries a ±6° margin: if it falls near a sign boundary, the sign could vary. Positions for all other planets are reliable.

Without a documented birth time, house positions, the Ascendant, and the Midheaven are not calculated. Planetary positions in signs are derived from noon on the birth date.
Raphinha was born on 14 December 1996 in Porto Alegre, the capital of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. The Sun at approximately 23° Sagittarius falls in the middle-late degrees of the sign — the phase of accumulated directional energy, where Sagittarius's drive toward the horizon has found its specific trajectory. Sagittarius at 23° describes the player whose directional force is aimed, not scattered: the winger who runs at defenders with the certainty of someone who knows where he is going and why. The dribbling quality, the willingness to take players on directly, the forward momentum that resists redirection — these are Sagittarius expressed as physical energy.
Pluto was at approximately 3° Sagittarius at his birth, in the same sign as his Sun — the generational outer planet reinforcing the natal quality. Uranus was at approximately 2° Aquarius, and Neptune at approximately 26° Capricorn, both moving toward the threshold of new signs and describing the specific transitional quality of the 1996 cohort: born between Pluto in Scorpio's final years and Pluto in Sagittarius's beginning.
No birth time is documented for Raphinha. Planetary sign positions use a noon ephemeris and are approximate.

Raphinha belongs to the transitional cohort of the Pluto in Sagittarius generation (1995–2008), born in the sign's first year. For a child born in Porto Alegre in 1996, this generation's defining question — how to move from the regional periphery toward the global centre — had a specific geographical dimension. Porto Alegre is Brazil's southernmost major city, geographically distant from the Rio–São Paulo axis where Brazilian football's primary infrastructure is concentrated. Southern Brazilian football has historically operated as a development ground for players who then move north within Brazil before moving abroad.
The Pluto in Sagittarius generation's transformation of talent identification created a more direct path: Raphinha moved from Avai FC in Florianópolis to Vitória in Salvador, then directly to Anderlecht in Belgium at nineteen, bypassing the Rio–São Paulo route entirely. The international talent pipeline, accelerated by Pluto in Sagittarius's expansion of football's global network, made this route available in a way it would not have been for previous generations.
His development in Europe — Anderlecht, then Rennes in France, then Leeds United in England — follows the Sagittarian pattern of movement through multiple cultural and linguistic contexts, each stage expanding the range before consolidation.
Other profiles from this Pluto in Sagittarius generation
The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.
The Sun at 23° Sagittarius with Pluto in early Sagittarius describes the committed directional player — someone whose football identity is organised around forward movement, around the confrontation with the defender that defines the wide position. Raphinha's game is built on this quality: the direct dribbling, the capacity to go past opponents in one-on-one situations, the shot from wide positions that defines his attacking contribution.
The Sagittarius quality at this degree carries the quality of the player who performs best under accumulated pressure: not at the start of a game, when the situation is open and the patterns are unformed, but when the context has crystallised and the specific challenge is clear. Raphinha's best performances have tended to come in games where Barcelona or Brazil needed a specific player to take the game on directly.
Uranus in Aquarius near its own degree at birth contributes the element of unpredictability: the technical surprise that defines his dribbling quality, the capacity to produce an unexpected movement in a moment of high definition.
The readings above are symbolic and archetypal. They do not constitute psychological diagnoses or predictions.
Astrian does not claim that the natal chart of Raphinha caused or determined any of the above. Astrology is a symbolic system with 2,500 years of literature. Its capacity for retrospective description does not imply explanatory capacity.
The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.
Raphael Dias Belloli, known universally as Raphinha, was born on 14 December 1996 in Porto Alegre. He began his development at Avai FC before moving to Vitória in Salvador. In 2015, at eighteen, he joined Sporting CP in Lisbon on loan and then Anderlecht in Belgium permanently. His time in Belgium was formative: he established himself in European football and attracted interest from larger clubs.
In January 2019, Rennes signed him. His seasons at Rennes were exceptional: he established himself as one of the most dangerous wingers in Ligue 1 and finished his final season with 11 goals and 8 assists, earning direct interest from Premier League clubs. Leeds United signed him in October 2020 for approximately £17 million.
His two seasons at Leeds demonstrated his quality at the highest domestic level: in 2021–22, he finished with 11 Premier League goals and 3 assists, his performances consistently the best element of a Leeds team that struggled for much of the season. Barcelona signed him in July 2022 for approximately €55 million.
His time at Barcelona coincided with a period of squad reconstruction, and his form fluctuated across his first seasons at the club. His contribution to the Brazil national team remained significant, and he became a central element of the Barcelona squad that competed for the Liga title in 2024–25. He was also appointed captain of the Brazil national team — a significant individual recognition for a player from Porto Alegre who had taken the European route.
