About this chart
No birth time is documented for this person. The chart therefore shows planetary positions in their signs, the slow aspects between them, and the generational context — but not house placements, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven, which require an accurate birth time. The Moon's sign carries a ±6° margin: if it falls near a sign boundary, the sign could vary. Positions for all other planets are reliable.

Without a documented birth time, house positions, the Ascendant, and the Midheaven are not calculated. Planetary positions in signs are derived from noon on the birth date.
Kevin De Bruyne was born on 28 June 1991 in Drongen, a village in the municipality of Ghent in East Flanders, Belgium. The Sun at approximately 6° Cancer falls in the sign's most forward-facing degrees — a Cancer that acts rather than merely registers, that leads from its perceptive intelligence rather than retreating into it. Mercury follows in the same sign at approximately 19° Cancer, deepening the Cancerian emphasis on reading situations before they fully form.
Venus at approximately 20° Leo and Mars at approximately 19° Leo sit within 1° of each other — a conjunction that fuses desire and action in the sign of creative expression. Jupiter joins them at approximately 13° Leo, giving three planets in Leo: an unusual concentration of energy in the sign associated with performance, generosity, and the drive to create.
The Moon at approximately 20° Capricorn (noon position, plus or minus 6°) opposes Mercury across the Cancer-Capricorn axis within approximately 1°. This is the tightest major aspect in the chart: the emotional body and the mental body in direct dialogue across the axis of nurture and structure. The Moon's position in Capricorn is stable for the full range of possible birth times — at midnight it would be near 14° Capricorn, at 23:59 near 27° Capricorn, remaining in the same sign throughout.
Saturn at approximately 5° Aquarius retrograde provides a generational undertone of disciplined systemic thinking. Uranus at approximately 12° Capricorn retrograde and Neptune at approximately 15° Capricorn retrograde were approaching the exact conjunction they would form in 1993. Pluto was at approximately 17° Scorpio retrograde.
Kevin De Bruyne belongs to the Pluto in Scorpio generation (1983–1995), the cohort that grew up in the aftermath of the Cold War's end and the institutional transformations it produced. Pluto in Scorpio confronted what was hidden: the mechanisms behind ideological systems, the corruption within institutions, the gap between what power claimed about itself and what it actually was.
For a Belgian boy born in Ghent in 1991, the Pluto in Scorpio context was less geographically immediate than for Luka Modric in Yugoslavia, but structurally present: a generation that grew up knowing that the certainties of the postwar era were historical conditions, not permanent states. Belgium itself, during the 1990s and 2000s, was navigating the ongoing tension between its Flemish and Walloon communities — an internal dissolution of inherited unities that ran, in less violent form, parallel to the disintegrations happening elsewhere in Europe.
The Pluto in Scorpio generation produced, in football, a wave of players defined by intensity of preparation and analytical intelligence: Lionel Messi (1987), Cristiano Ronaldo (1985), Neymar Jr. (1992). De Bruyne is perhaps the clearest example of the analytical dimension — a player famous for understanding the game at a level that is described regularly as rare.

The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.
### Venus conjunction Mars in Leo: creativity and action unified
Venus and Mars within 1° in Leo describe a chart where the aesthetic impulse and the competitive impulse are not separate processes. What De Bruyne wants to create and what he drives himself to execute converge in the same sign — the sign of performance, of doing the difficult thing in full view. The tradition reads Venus-Mars conjunctions as an alignment of desire with will; in Leo, that alignment expresses itself through acts that are simultaneously functional and beautiful. The through-ball that splits a defense is both the most effective pass and the most visually arresting one.
### Moon opposition Mercury (Capricorn-Cancer): the vision axis
The Moon in Capricorn opposing Mercury in Cancer creates a dialogue across the chart's cardinal axis of nurture and structure. The emotional register (Moon) operates in the sign of strategic discipline (Capricorn), while the mental register (Mercury) operates in the sign of instinctive reading (Cancer). What results is a pattern where feeling and thinking inform each other across an axis of tension — the player who feels the structure of the game and thinks about its emotional temperature simultaneously. De Bruyne's passes are the purest expression of this quality: they describe not what has happened but what is about to happen.
### Mercury trine Pluto and Mars square Pluto: depth connections
Mercury's trine to Pluto links the perceptive mind to transformative depth through a flowing aspect — the understanding comes without apparent effort. Mars's square to Pluto connects the drive to act with the same Plutonian intensity through friction — the execution demands confrontation with resistance. Both personal planets are linked to the same outer planet by different modes. The tradition reads this as a pattern where insight and force both draw from the same deep well but arrive through different channels.
The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.
Kevin De Bruyne was born on 28 June 1991 in Drongen, a suburban village in the Ghent municipality of East Flanders. He joined the youth system of KVV Drongen and then KAA Gent before transferring to Racing Genk's academy at age fourteen.
His professional career began at Genk, where he made his first-team debut in 2008. He won the Belgian league title in 2011 and the Belgian Golden Shoe in 2012 — the award for Belgium's best footballer. Chelsea signed him in January 2012 for a reported fee of around 8 million pounds, but he made only nine appearances across two and a half years at Stamford Bridge. Loan spells at Werder Bremen (2012–13) and VfL Wolfsburg (2013–14, made permanent) gave him the playing time he needed. At Wolfsburg in 2014–15, he was named Bundesliga Player of the Year and won the DFB-Pokal.
Manchester City paid approximately 55 million pounds to sign him in August 2015 — then the club's record transfer. The compatibility between Pep Guardiola's positional system and De Bruyne's specific intelligence was apparent from Guardiola's first season in 2016. He became the central technical reference point of a City team that would redefine the standards of English club football.
The titles accumulated across a decade: six Premier League championships (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), an FA Cup, multiple League Cups, and — in the 2022–23 season — the first Champions League in City's history, the final won in Istanbul against Internazionale. De Bruyne sustained ligament damage after twelve minutes of that final but played on. He was named PFA Players' Player of the Year in 2020 and 2021 — the award voted by fellow professionals — and won the Premier League Playmaker of the Season award (most assists) multiple times. In 2025 he left Manchester City to join Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
With Belgium, he was the central creative player in the country's most successful international generation: the Red Devils reached the 2018 World Cup semifinal, earned third place, and competed at Euro 2024 and the 2022 World Cup. The generation — including Hazard, Lukaku, Courtois, and Tielemans — did not win a major tournament. De Bruyne earned over 100 caps and scored more than 25 international goals.

Venus, Mars, and Jupiter all in Leo concentrate the chart's energy in the sign of creative expression. Jupiter expands what Venus and Mars fuse. The tradition associates Leo with the performer who gives fully — not for approval but because holding back is structurally impossible. In football terms, this is the player who does not conserve energy for the moments that matter because every moment is treated as one that matters.
