He grew up around professional sport and was a multi-sport athlete before focusing on American football, playing college football at Texas Tech University, where he set passing records, and entering the National Football League in 2017.
He joined the Kansas City Chiefs and, after a season as a backup, became the starting quarterback and immediately one of the most dynamic players in the league, known for an improvisational style, arm strength, and the ability to make unconventional throws.
