About this chart
No birth time is documented for this person. The chart therefore shows planetary positions in their signs, the slow aspects between them, and the generational context — but not house placements, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven, which require an accurate birth time. The Moon's sign carries a ±6° margin: if it falls near a sign boundary, the sign could vary. Positions for all other planets are reliable.

No birth time is documented for Shakira. The Ascendant, Midheaven, and house positions cannot be determined. The planetary positions below are calculated for noon local time and are accurate to within a fraction of a degree for the slow-moving planets. The Moon's position carries a margin of approximately ±7°.
The Sun is at 13°45' Aquarius. The Moon is at 26°06' Cancer (noon position, ±7° margin). Mercury is at 19°15' Capricorn. Venus is at 0°26' Aries. Mars is at 24°46' Capricorn. Jupiter is at 21°44' Taurus. Saturn is at 13°24' Leo R. Uranus is at 11°43' Scorpio. Neptune is at 15°37' Sagittarius. Pluto is at 14°06' Libra R.
The chart's most striking structural feature is a closed triangle involving the Sun, Saturn, and Pluto. The Sun at 13°45' Aquarius opposes Saturn at 13°24' Leo retrograde (0°21') and trines Pluto at 14°06' Libra retrograde (0°21'). Saturn sextiles Pluto (0°42'). Three aspects under 1° between three planets constitute an unusually precise geometric configuration. The Sun also squares Uranus at 11°43' Scorpio (2°02') and sextiles Neptune at 15°37' Sagittarius (1°52'), engaging four outer planets within 2°05' of orb. Mercury at 19°15' Capricorn trines Jupiter at 21°44' Taurus (2°29'). Mars at 24°46' Capricorn trines Jupiter (3°02').
The tightest major aspects between planets: Sun opposition Saturn (0°21'), Sun trine Pluto (0°21'), Saturn sextile Pluto (0°42'), Saturn square Uranus (1°41'), Neptune sextile Pluto (1°31'), Sun sextile Neptune (1°52'), Sun square Uranus (2°02'), Mercury trine Jupiter (2°29'), Mars trine Jupiter (3°02').
Those born between approximately 1972 and 1984 carried Pluto in Libra. This generation came of age during the Cold War's final decade, the rise of globalization, and the emergence of the digital economy. They inherited both the promise of planetary interconnection and the fractures of postmodern disillusionment.
In astrological tradition, Pluto in Libra is associated with collective transformation of the domains that sign governs: partnership, aesthetics, justice, diplomacy, the negotiation of opposites, and the social contract. Libra is the sign of relationship and balance. Pluto's transit through Libra is read, symbolically, as a generational mandate to transform the structures of partnership, the aesthetics of public life, and the meaning of justice. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.
Others in the Astrian collection born under this configuration include Beyoncé (1981), Leonardo DiCaprio (1974), Angelina Jolie (1975), and Penélope Cruz (1974). Shakira, born in 1977, belongs to the middle years of this generational wave.

The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.
The Sun at 13°45' Aquarius is the most prominent structural feature of this chart. Without a documented birth time, there is no Ascendant or Midheaven — the reading is confined to planetary positions by sign and the aspects between planets.
The Moon at 26°06' Cancer represents the noon position; the actual placement falls within approximately 7° on either side. If born early in the day, the Moon could be in the late teens of Cancer; if born late, in the low degrees of Leo. The Moon's sign placement in Cancer is probable for most of the day.
Mercury at 19°15' Capricorn, Venus at 0°26' Aries, and Mars at 24°46' Capricorn complete the personal planet picture.
### The Sun-Saturn-Pluto triangle
The chart's defining structural feature is a closed geometric triangle formed by three near-exact aspects between the Sun, Saturn, and Pluto. The Sun at 13°45' Aquarius opposes Saturn at 13°24' Leo retrograde (0°21'). The Sun at 13°45' Aquarius trines Pluto at 14°06' Libra retrograde (0°21'). Saturn at 13°24' Leo sextiles Pluto at 14°06' Libra (0°42'). Three aspects between three planets, all under 1° of orb, constitute a configuration of exceptional geometric precision.
The Sun represents central identity and vitality. Saturn represents structure, limitation, discipline, and the encounter with authority and time. Pluto represents transformation, power, and the encounter with what lies beneath surfaces. Their closed triangle integrates these three principles into a single dynamic structure.
The Sun-Saturn opposition creates polarity between identity and structure — the self is tested by demands of discipline, and identity must be earned rather than assumed. The axis falls across Aquarius-Leo: the collective and the individual, the innovative and the performative. The Sun-Pluto trine connects identity with transformative depth in a harmonious flow — the self draws naturally on resources of power and psychological intensity. The Saturn-Pluto sextile connects structure and transformation in a cooperative relationship — discipline and depth work together rather than against each other.
The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.
Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll was born on 2 February 1977 in Barranquilla, a Caribbean port city in northern Colombia, the only child of William Mebarak Chadid, a Colombian of Lebanese descent, and Nidia Ripoll Torrado, a Colombian of Catalan and Italian heritage. Her father was a jeweler and watchmaker; he had eight children from a previous marriage. Her first name means "grateful" in Arabic.
She began performing as a child, writing her first song at age eight and entering talent competitions in Barranquilla. At thirteen, she signed a recording contract with Sony Music Colombia. Her first two albums, Magia (1991) and Peligro (1993), were commercial failures that she later disavowed.
Her breakthrough came with Pies Descalzos (1995), which sold over 5 million copies across Latin America and Spain. The album's fusion of Latin pop, rock, and Colombian cumbia established her as a major figure in the Spanish-language market. Dónde Están los Ladrones? (1998) expanded her audience further, selling over 10 million copies worldwide.
Her transition to the English-language market came with Laundry Service (2001), which sold over 13 million copies. The lead single, "Whenever, Wherever," reached number one in multiple countries. The album established her as an international pop star, and her signature combination of Arabic-inflected melismatic vocals, Latin rhythmic foundations, and hip-swiveling choreography became her defining artistic identity.
"La Tortura" (2005), a collaboration with Alejandro Sanz from her album Fijación Oral, Vol. 1, became the highest-charting Spanish-language single in US Billboard history at the time. The companion English-language album, Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 (2005), produced "Hips Don't Lie" (featuring Wyclef Jean), which reached number one in over fifty-five countries and sold over 15 million copies, becoming one of the best-selling singles of the 2000s.
"Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" (2010) was the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and became the best-selling World Cup song of all time. She performed at the Super Bowl LIV halftime show on 2 February 2020 — her forty-third birthday — alongside Jennifer Lopez, in a performance watched by an estimated 103 million viewers.

The closed triangle means that the tension of the opposition does not remain unresolved. The trine and sextile to Pluto provide a productive channel — a third point that integrates what the opposition holds in polarity.
### The Sun's four-planet engagement
Beyond the Saturn-Pluto triangle, the Sun simultaneously squares Uranus at 11°43' Scorpio (2°02') and sextiles Neptune at 15°37' Sagittarius (1°52'). A single luminary engaging four outer planets within approximately 2° of orb is structurally rare.
The Sun-Uranus square adds friction and disruption — identity is agitated by the demand for originality and the refusal of convention. The Sun-Neptune sextile adds idealism and the capacity for imaginative projection — identity connects to the visionary register in a cooperative, flowing relationship.
Together, these five-body connections (Sun to Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune) create a configuration where the central identity is simultaneously structured, transformed, disrupted, and idealized — an unusually dense web of outer-planet influence concentrated on a single point.
### Mercury and Mars trine Jupiter
Mercury at 19°15' Capricorn trines Jupiter at 21°44' Taurus (2°29'). Mars at 24°46' Capricorn trines Jupiter (3°02'). Both personal planets connect to Jupiter through harmonious earth-sign trines — Capricorn to Taurus — creating a productive channel between disciplined communication (Mercury), physical drive (Mars), and expansive vision (Jupiter). In the tradition, these aspects are read as configurations where thought and action are amplified by optimism and projected on a broad scale.
The planetary pattern here is read as a symbolic portrait, not a causal explanation. No planet caused, predicted, or determined any event or characteristic.

She was in a relationship with the Spanish football player Gerard Piqué from 2011 to 2022; they have two sons, Milan (born 2013) and Sasha (born 2015). Their separation in 2022 became one of the most publicly followed celebrity breakups of the decade. Her song "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" (2023), a collaboration with the Argentine producer Bizarrap that referenced the breakup, became the most-streamed Spanish-language song in Spotify history and reached number one in over forty countries.
Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (2024) debuted at number one in multiple countries. She relocated from Barcelona to Miami following her separation from Piqué.
As of 2025, she has sold an estimated 95 million records worldwide. She has won three Grammy Awards, twelve Latin Grammy Awards, and numerous Billboard Latin Music Awards. The Shakira Foundation, which she established in 1997, has built six schools in Colombia serving over 4,000 students.
