About this chart

No birth time is documented for this person. The chart therefore shows planetary positions in their signs, the slow aspects between them, and the generational context — but not house placements, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven, which require an accurate birth time. The Moon's sign carries a ±6° margin: if it falls near a sign boundary, the sign could vary. Positions for all other planets are reliable.

The sky at birth

No birth time is documented for Usain Bolt. The Ascendant, the Midheaven, and the house positions cannot be determined; the reading is confined to planetary sign placements and the aspects between planets. The positions below are calculated for noon local time and are accurate to a fraction of a degree for the slow-moving bodies.

The Moon is near 23°03' Pisces (noon position, ±7° margin). Sun is at 28°20' Leo. Mercury is at 13°52' Leo. Venus is at 14°17' Libra. Mars is at 12°01' Capricorn. Jupiter is at 20°24' Pisces, retrograde. Saturn is at 3°14' Sagittarius. Uranus is at 18°22' Sagittarius, retrograde. Neptune is at 3°11' Capricorn, retrograde. Pluto is at 4°55' Scorpio.

The tightest major aspects between planets: Mercury sextile Venus (0°25'); Neptune sextile Pluto (1°44'); Jupiter square Uranus (2°02'); Venus square Mars (2°16'); Moon conjunct Jupiter (2°39'); Venus sextile Uranus (4°05').

Neptune sextile Pluto (1°44') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.

The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Jupiter square Chiron (0°06'); Juno sesquiquadrate Vesta (0°11'); Pluto sesquiquadrate Lilith (0°19'); Moon semi-sextile North Node (0°26'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.

The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context

Pluto moved through its own sign, Scorpio, from 1983 to 1995. In astrological tradition Pluto in Scorpio is read as an intensification of themes of power, depth, crisis, and regeneration — the generation that grew up amid the digital turn and a transformed relationship to risk.

Usain Bolt (born 1986) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: Michael Phelps · Simone Biles · Muhammad Ali. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading

The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.

The Sun in Leo is the most prominent structural feature available without a birth time, centring the chart on expression, pride, and the creative self. There is no Ascendant or Midheaven to anchor the angles, so the reading rests on sign placements and the aspects between planets rather than on houses.

Among the personal planets, the Moon in Pisces is associated in tradition with imagination, dissolution, and empathy (the Moon's sign is given for the noon chart and may shift with an exact time); Mercury in Leo with expression, pride, and the creative self; Venus in Libra with balance, relationship, and proportion; and Mars in Capricorn with ambition, structure, and the long view. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.

Mercury sextile Venus (0°25'): tradition reads thought and communication in supportive contact with values, attraction, and harmony.

Neptune sextile Pluto (1°44'): tradition reads dissolution, imagination, and idealism in supportive contact with depth, power, and transformation.

Jupiter square Uranus (2°02'): tradition reads expansion and meaning in friction with disruption and innovation.

Venus square Mars (2°16'): tradition reads values, attraction, and harmony in friction with drive, assertion, and action.

These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.

Astrology is a symbolic language with 2,500 years of literature. The reading above is interpretive, not explanatory.

Astrian does not claim that the natal chart of Usain Bolt caused or determined any of the above. Astrology is a symbolic system with 2,500 years of literature. Its capacity for retrospective description does not imply explanatory capacity.

A parallel life

The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.

Usain St Leo Bolt was born on 21 August 1986 in Sherwood Content, a small town in the parish of Trelawny in Jamaica. He grew up in a rural setting and showed early promise across several sports before focusing on sprinting, developing within Jamaica's strong tradition of track and field.

He rose to global prominence at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where he won the 100 and 200 metres in world-record times, and he repeated his sprint victories at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics, an unprecedented run of dominance in the blue-riband events. Across these Games he accumulated eight Olympic gold medals, a total later affected by a doping disqualification within one of his relay teams.

He set world records in both the 100 and 200 metres that have stood for many years, his time over 100 metres in particular becoming one of the most celebrated marks in the history of athletics. Unusually tall for a sprinter, he combined an exceptional stride with a relaxed, charismatic public manner that made him one of the most recognisable athletes in the world.

His showmanship, including a signature celebratory pose, contributed to a global popularity that extended well beyond athletics, and he became one of the defining sporting figures of his era.

After retiring from athletics in 2017 he briefly explored a career in professional football before stepping away from competitive sport. Bolt is remembered as the dominant sprinter of his generation and one of the greatest track and field athletes in history.
