The sky at birth
With a documented birth time, the full chart can be cast. The Ascendant falls at 13°33' Libra and the Midheaven at 14°48' Cancer, which fixes the angular framework and allows the planets to be placed in houses.
Sun is at 26°47' Gemini, house 9. Moon is at 27°40' Leo, house 11. Mercury is at 20°57' Cancer, house 10. Venus is at 22°44' Gemini, house 9, retrograde. Mars is at 17°56' Virgo, house 12. Jupiter is at 4°05' Virgo, house 11. Saturn is at 20°46' Virgo, house 12. Uranus is at 22°13' Scorpio, house 2, retrograde. Neptune is at 21°08' Sagittarius, house 3, retrograde. Pluto is at 19°00' Libra, house 1, retrograde.
3 bodies occupy Virgo (Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) — a concentration that stands out as a structural feature of the chart.
The tightest major aspects between planets: Mercury sextile Saturn (0°10'); Saturn square Neptune (0°22'); Sun sextile Moon (0°52'); Mercury trine Uranus (1°16'); Saturn sextile Uranus (1°26'); Venus opposite Neptune (1°35').
Neptune sextile Pluto (2°08') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.
The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Venus sextile Pallas (0°07'); Venus sextile North Node (0°13'); Mars semi-sextile Juno (0°14'); Pallas trine North Node (0°20'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.
The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context
Pluto travelled through Libra from 1971 to 1984. In astrological tradition this transit is associated with the transformation of relationships, partnership, and the idea of balance — the cohort that redrew norms around marriage, equality, and the terms of personal alliance.
Venus Williams (born 1980) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: Pete Sampras · Monica Seles · Ana Ivanovic. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading
The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.
The Sun in Gemini centres the chart on curiosity, exchange, and versatility. With the Ascendant in Libra, tradition adds balance, relationship, and proportion as the threshold through which that energy meets the world; the Sun marks the central drive, the Ascendant the manner of approach.
Among the personal planets, the Moon in Leo is associated in tradition with expression, pride, and the creative self; Mercury in Cancer with attachment, memory, and protection; Venus in Gemini with curiosity, exchange, and versatility; and Mars in Virgo with analysis, craft, and the refinement of method. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.
Mercury sextile Saturn (0°10'): tradition reads thought and communication in supportive contact with structure, limitation, and discipline.
Saturn square Neptune (0°22'): tradition reads structure, limitation, and discipline in friction with dissolution, imagination, and idealism.
Sun sextile Moon (0°52'): tradition reads identity and central purpose in supportive contact with emotional life and instinct.
Mercury trine Uranus (1°16'): tradition reads thought and communication in easy flow with disruption and innovation.
These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.
Astrology is a symbolic language with 2,500 years of literature. The reading above is interpretive, not explanatory.
Astrian does not claim that the natal chart of Venus Williams caused or determined any of the above. Astrology is a symbolic system with 2,500 years of literature. Its capacity for retrospective description does not imply explanatory capacity.
A parallel life
The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.
Venus Ebony Starr Williams was born on June 17, 1980, in Lynwood, California, and was raised in Compton. She and her younger sister Serena were coached primarily by their father, Richard Williams, who devised an intensive training program from early childhood. Venus turned professional in 1994 at age fourteen and quickly drew attention with her exceptional physicality and competitive instincts.
She broke through at the elite level in the late 1990s, reaching the US Open final in 1997 as an unseeded teenager. Her first Grand Slam title came at Wimbledon in 2000, beginning a run of success at the All England Club that would yield five Wimbledon singles titles. She also won two US Open titles and claimed the Wimbledon and US Open doubles titles alongside Serena on multiple occasions.
Williams represented the United States at four Olympic Games, winning singles gold at Sydney in 2000 and doubles gold at Sydney, Athens, and London alongside Serena. Her campaign for equal prize money at Grand Slam tournaments contributed to the decision by Wimbledon in 2007 to offer equal pay to men and women, a landmark moment in the history of professional tennis.
Throughout her career, Williams managed Sjogren's syndrome, an autoimmune condition diagnosed in 2011, and adapted her training and schedule accordingly while continuing to compete at the highest level well into her thirties. She also pursued parallel careers in fashion design and interior design, founding companies in both fields.
Williams remains active on the professional tour as of the mid-2020s, continuing to compete and mentor younger players. Her influence on the sport encompasses both her competitive achievements and her advocacy work, making her one of the most consequential figures in the history of tennis.
