The sky at birth

With a documented birth time, the full chart can be cast. The Ascendant falls at 5°35' Taurus and the Midheaven at 20°13' Capricorn, which fixes the angular framework and allows the planets to be placed in houses.

Sun is at 10°11' Sagittarius, house 8. Moon is at 21°02' Scorpio, house 7. Mercury is at 27°50' Sagittarius, house 8. Venus is at 25°43' Libra, house 6. Mars is at 8°27' Libra, house 6. Jupiter is at 19°19' Sagittarius, house 8. Saturn is at 11°04' Scorpio, house 7. Uranus is at 9°24' Sagittarius, house 8. Neptune is at 28°15' Sagittarius, house 8. Pluto is at 1°00' Scorpio, house 6.

5 bodies occupy Sagittarius (Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune) and 3 bodies occupy Scorpio (Moon, Saturn and Pluto) — a concentration that stands out as a structural feature of the chart.

The tightest major aspects between planets: Mercury conjunct Neptune (0°25'); Sun conjunct Uranus (0°47'); Mars sextile Uranus (0°56'); Sun sextile Mars (1°43'); Mercury sextile Venus (2°07'); Venus sextile Neptune (2°32').

Neptune sextile Pluto (2°44') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.

The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Uranus sesquiquadrate Juno (0°04'); Pluto sesquiquadrate North Node (0°04'); Pallas square Juno (0°22'); Sun semi-square Pallas (0°22'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.

The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context

Pluto moved through its own sign, Scorpio, from 1983 to 1995. In astrological tradition Pluto in Scorpio is read as an intensification of themes of power, depth, crisis, and regeneration — the generation that grew up amid the digital turn and a transformed relationship to risk.

Aaron Rodgers (born 1983) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: Lamar Jackson · Peyton Manning · Joe Montana. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading

The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.

The Sun in Sagittarius centres the chart on expansion, conviction, and the horizon. With the Ascendant in Taurus, tradition adds stability, persistence, and the tangible as the threshold through which that energy meets the world; the Sun marks the central drive, the Ascendant the manner of approach.

Among the personal planets, the Moon in Scorpio is associated in tradition with intensity, depth, and the will to transform; Mercury in Sagittarius with expansion, conviction, and the horizon; Venus in Libra with balance, relationship, and proportion; and Mars in Libra with balance, relationship, and proportion. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.

Mercury conjunct Neptune (0°25'): tradition reads thought and communication fused with dissolution, imagination, and idealism.

Sun conjunct Uranus (0°47'): tradition reads identity and central purpose fused with disruption and innovation.

Mars sextile Uranus (0°56'): tradition reads drive, assertion, and action in supportive contact with disruption and innovation.

Sun sextile Mars (1°43'): tradition reads identity and central purpose in supportive contact with drive, assertion, and action.

These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.

Astrian does not claim that the natal chart of Aaron Rodgers caused or determined any of the above. Astrology is a symbolic system with 2,500 years of literature. Its capacity for retrospective description does not imply explanatory capacity.

A parallel life

The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.

Aaron Charles Rodgers was born on December 2, 1983, in Chico, California. He played high school football in the San Francisco Bay Area and initially went unrecruited by major college football programs. He spent his freshman year at Butte Community College in Oroville before transferring to the University of California, Berkeley, where he started for two seasons.

The Green Bay Packers selected Rodgers with the 24th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons as a backup to Brett Favre before becoming the starter in 2008 following Favre's retirement. Rodgers led the Packers to a Super Bowl XLV victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in February 2011 and was named Super Bowl Most Valuable Player for his performance in that game.

Rodgers won the NFL Most Valuable Player award four times, in 2011, 2014, 2020, and 2021. His back-to-back MVP seasons in 2020 and 2021, during which he posted some of the highest passer rating scores in NFL history, were widely regarded as among the most statistically dominant stretches by a quarterback in the modern era. He spent sixteen seasons as the starting quarterback for Green Bay.

In March 2023, Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets. He suffered a torn Achilles tendon during his first series of plays for the Jets in September 2023, ending his debut season with the team after just four plays. He returned to play for the Jets in the 2024 NFL season after extensive rehabilitation.

Beyond football, Rodgers has been a guest host on the television game show Jeopardy! and has been involved in various media and commercial ventures. He has been a prominent figure in discussions about athlete advocacy on public health topics during his professional career.
