The sky at birth

With a documented birth time, the full chart can be cast. The Ascendant falls at 22°00' Taurus and the Midheaven at 21°32' Capricorn, which fixes the angular framework and allows the planets to be placed in houses.

Sun is at 21°47' Cancer, house 4. Moon is at 23°01' Cancer, house 4. Mercury is at 2°26' Cancer, house 2. Venus is at 15°32' Gemini, house 1. Mars is at 0°05' Aries, house 12. Jupiter is at 28°34' Taurus, house 1. Saturn is at 27°35' Sagittarius, house 8, retrograde. Uranus is at 28°07' Sagittarius, house 8, retrograde. Neptune is at 8°26' Capricorn, house 9, retrograde. Pluto is at 9°46' Scorpio, house 6, retrograde.

3 bodies occupy Cancer (Sun, Moon and Mercury) — a concentration that stands out as a structural feature of the chart.

The tightest major aspects between planets: Saturn conjunct Uranus (0°32'); Sun conjunct Moon (1°14'); Neptune sextile Pluto (1°19'); Mars sextile Jupiter (1°31'); Mars square Uranus (1°58'); Mercury square Mars (2°21').

Neptune sextile Pluto (1°19') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.

The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Venus trine Pallas (0°02'); Sun semi-square Lilith (0°03'); Mars quincunx Vesta (0°17'); Mercury conjunct Chiron (0°21'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.

The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context

Pluto moved through its own sign, Scorpio, from 1983 to 1995. In astrological tradition Pluto in Scorpio is read as an intensification of themes of power, depth, crisis, and regeneration — the generation that grew up amid the digital turn and a transformed relationship to risk.

Conor McGregor (born 1988) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: Khabib Nurmagomedov · Floyd Mayweather · Magnus Carlsen. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading

The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.

The Sun in Cancer centres the chart on attachment, memory, and protection. With the Ascendant in Taurus, tradition adds stability, persistence, and the tangible as the threshold through which that energy meets the world; the Sun marks the central drive, the Ascendant the manner of approach.

Among the personal planets, the Moon in Cancer is associated in tradition with attachment, memory, and protection; Mercury in Cancer with attachment, memory, and protection; Venus in Gemini with curiosity, exchange, and versatility; and Mars in Aries with initiative, directness, and the will to begin. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.

Saturn conjunct Uranus (0°32'): tradition reads structure, limitation, and discipline fused with disruption and innovation.

Sun conjunct Moon (1°14'): tradition reads identity and central purpose fused with emotional life and instinct.

Neptune sextile Pluto (1°19'): tradition reads dissolution, imagination, and idealism in supportive contact with depth, power, and transformation.

Mars sextile Jupiter (1°31'): tradition reads drive, assertion, and action in supportive contact with expansion and meaning.

These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.

Astrology is a symbolic language with 2,500 years of literature. The reading above is interpretive, not explanatory.

Astrian does not claim that the natal chart of Conor McGregor caused or determined any of the above. Astrology is a symbolic system with 2,500 years of literature. Its capacity for retrospective description does not imply explanatory capacity.

A parallel life

The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.

Conor Anthony McGregor was born on 14 July 1988 in Dublin, Ireland, and was raised in the Crumlin area of the city. He trained in boxing and later mixed martial arts, working as a plumber's apprentice before committing fully to fighting, and built his early reputation on the European regional circuit.

He signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and rose rapidly, capturing the featherweight title with a fast knockout and later the lightweight title, becoming the first fighter in the organisation's history to hold championships in two weight divisions at the same time. His striking power, self-promotion, and brash public persona made him one of the biggest stars in the sport.

In 2017 he crossed over into a heavily promoted boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, one of the most lucrative events in combat-sports history, and in 2018 he fought Khabib Nurmagomedov in a widely watched and contentious bout. His career also included periods of inactivity, injuries, and legal difficulties outside the cage.

He became one of the highest-earning athletes in the world during his peak and built business interests outside the sport, including in spirits.

McGregor is regarded as one of the most commercially significant figures in the history of mixed martial arts, a fighter whose combination of in-cage success and self-promotion helped drive the sport's growth into the mainstream.
