About this chart

No birth time is documented for this person. The chart therefore shows planetary positions in their signs, the slow aspects between them, and the generational context — but not house placements, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven, which require an accurate birth time. The Moon's sign carries a ±6° margin: if it falls near a sign boundary, the sign could vary. Positions for all other planets are reliable.

The sky at birth

No birth time is documented for Didier Drogba. The Ascendant, the Midheaven, and the house positions cannot be determined; the reading is confined to planetary sign placements and the aspects between planets. The positions below are calculated for noon local time and are accurate to a fraction of a degree for the slow-moving bodies.

The Moon is near 20°37' Aries (noon position, ±7° margin). Sun is at 20°33' Pisces. Mercury is at 1°53' Aries. Venus is at 2°15' Aries. Mars is at 22°45' Cancer. Jupiter is at 26°41' Gemini. Saturn is at 25°20' Leo, retrograde. Uranus is at 16°13' Scorpio, retrograde. Neptune is at 18°17' Sagittarius. Pluto is at 15°59' Libra, retrograde.

3 bodies occupy Aries (Moon, Mercury and Venus) — a concentration that stands out as a structural feature of the chart.

The tightest major aspects between planets: Mercury conjunct Venus (0°22'); Jupiter sextile Saturn (1°21'); Moon square Mars (2°09'); Sun trine Mars (2°13'); Sun square Neptune (2°16'); Neptune sextile Pluto (2°18').

Neptune sextile Pluto (2°18') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.

The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Mars opposite Juno (0°26'); Venus semi-sextile Chiron (0°26'); Neptune sesquiquadrate Chiron (0°36'); Sun square Pallas (0°42'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.

The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context

Pluto travelled through Libra from 1971 to 1984. In astrological tradition this transit is associated with the transformation of relationships, partnership, and the idea of balance — the cohort that redrew norms around marriage, equality, and the terms of personal alliance.

Didier Drogba (born 1978) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: Samuel Eto'o · Frank Lampard · Roberto Carlos. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading

The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.

The Sun in Pisces is the most prominent structural feature available without a birth time, centring the chart on imagination, dissolution, and empathy. There is no Ascendant or Midheaven to anchor the angles, so the reading rests on sign placements and the aspects between planets rather than on houses.

Among the personal planets, the Moon in Aries is associated in tradition with initiative, directness, and the will to begin (the Moon's sign is given for the noon chart and may shift with an exact time); Mercury in Aries with initiative, directness, and the will to begin; Venus in Aries with initiative, directness, and the will to begin; and Mars in Cancer with attachment, memory, and protection. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.

Mercury conjunct Venus (0°22'): tradition reads thought and communication fused with values, attraction, and harmony.

Jupiter sextile Saturn (1°21'): tradition reads expansion and meaning in supportive contact with structure, limitation, and discipline.

Moon square Mars (2°09'): tradition reads emotional life and instinct in friction with drive, assertion, and action.

Sun trine Mars (2°13'): tradition reads identity and central purpose in easy flow with drive, assertion, and action.

These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.

Astrology is a symbolic language with 2,500 years of literature. The reading above is interpretive, not explanatory.

Astrian does not claim that the natal chart of Didier Drogba caused or determined any of the above. Astrology is a symbolic system with 2,500 years of literature. Its capacity for retrospective description does not imply explanatory capacity.

A parallel life

The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.

Didier Yves Drogba Tébily was born on 11 March 1978 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He moved to France as a child to live with an uncle who was a professional footballer, and developed relatively late in the French lower divisions before breaking through with Guingamp and then Marseille, where strong form earned him a transfer to Chelsea in 2004.

At Chelsea he became one of the leading strikers in European football and the club's defining centre-forward of his era, a powerful and decisive player known for performing in major finals. He won multiple Premier League titles and domestic cups, and in 2012 he scored the equalising goal and the winning penalty in the UEFA Champions League final, securing the club's first European Cup.

With the Ivory Coast national team he was the talismanic captain and all-time leading goalscorer, leading the country to its first World Cup appearances. He was also widely credited with using his prominence to appeal for peace during a period of civil conflict in Ivory Coast, a role that extended his significance well beyond football.

After leaving Chelsea he played for clubs in China, Turkey, and North America before retiring, and he later moved into football administration and ownership.

Drogba is remembered as one of the outstanding strikers of his generation and as a figure of major national importance in Ivory Coast, admired for both his on-field achievements and his role off it.
