About this chart

No birth time is documented for this person. The chart therefore shows planetary positions in their signs, the slow aspects between them, and the generational context — but not house placements, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven, which require an accurate birth time. The Moon's sign carries a ±6° margin: if it falls near a sign boundary, the sign could vary. Positions for all other planets are reliable.

The sky at birth

No birth time is documented for Russell Westbrook. The Ascendant, the Midheaven, and the house positions cannot be determined; the reading is confined to planetary sign placements and the aspects between planets. The positions below are calculated for noon local time and are accurate to a fraction of a degree for the slow-moving bodies. One caveat: the Moon lies near a sign boundary, so without an exact time it cannot be fixed to a single sign — it sits close to 29°20' Sagittarius within a daily margin of about ±7°.

The Moon is near 29°20' Sagittarius (noon position, ±7° margin). Sun is at 20°39' Scorpio. Mercury is at 9°53' Scorpio. Venus is at 16°49' Libra. Mars is at 1°25' Aries. Jupiter is at 2°26' Gemini, retrograde. Saturn is at 0°02' Capricorn. Uranus is at 28°55' Sagittarius. Neptune is at 8°13' Capricorn. Pluto is at 12°50' Scorpio.

3 bodies occupy Scorpio (Sun, Mercury and Pluto) — a concentration that stands out as a structural feature of the chart.

The tightest major aspects between planets: Moon conjunct Uranus (0°25'); Moon conjunct Saturn (0°43'); Mars sextile Jupiter (1°01'); Saturn conjunct Uranus (1°07'); Mars square Saturn (1°22'); Mercury sextile Neptune (1°40').

Neptune sextile Pluto (4°37') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.

The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Mars quincunx Juno (0°00'); Chiron quincunx Pallas (0°05'); Sun sextile Lilith (0°21'); Venus semi-square Juno (0°25'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.

The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context

Pluto moved through its own sign, Scorpio, from 1983 to 1995. In astrological tradition Pluto in Scorpio is read as an intensification of themes of power, depth, crisis, and regeneration — the generation that grew up amid the digital turn and a transformed relationship to risk.

Russell Westbrook (born 1988) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: Damian Lillard · Jayson Tatum · Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading

The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.

The Sun in Scorpio is the most prominent structural feature available without a birth time, centring the chart on intensity, depth, and the will to transform. There is no Ascendant or Midheaven to anchor the angles, so the reading rests on sign placements and the aspects between planets rather than on houses.

Among the personal planets, the Moon in Sagittarius is associated in tradition with expansion, conviction, and the horizon (the Moon's sign is given for the noon chart and may shift with an exact time); Mercury in Scorpio with intensity, depth, and the will to transform; Venus in Libra with balance, relationship, and proportion; and Mars in Aries with initiative, directness, and the will to begin. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.

Moon conjunct Uranus (0°25'): tradition reads emotional life and instinct fused with disruption and innovation.

Moon conjunct Saturn (0°43'): tradition reads emotional life and instinct fused with structure, limitation, and discipline.

Mars sextile Jupiter (1°01'): tradition reads drive, assertion, and action in supportive contact with expansion and meaning.

Saturn conjunct Uranus (1°07'): tradition reads structure, limitation, and discipline fused with disruption and innovation.

These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.

A parallel life

The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.

Russell Westbrook III was born on 12 November 1988 in Long Beach, California. He played college basketball at the University of California, Los Angeles, before entering the NBA, where he became known for an exceptionally explosive, energetic, and aggressive style of play.

He spent the formative and most productive part of his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder, forming a celebrated partnership with Kevin Durant before becoming the team's central figure. In the 2016–17 season he was named the league's Most Valuable Player after averaging a triple-double across the full season, a feat that had not been achieved in decades, and he repeated the season-long triple-double average in subsequent years.

He went on to break the all-time record for career triple-doubles, a measure of his unusual all-round production in scoring, rebounding, and assists from the guard position. He later played for several other franchises, including the Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles teams.

Known for his intensity and distinctive personal style, he became one of the most recognisable players of his era both on and off the court.
