About this chart

No birth time is documented for this person. The chart therefore shows planetary positions in their signs, the slow aspects between them, and the generational context — but not house placements, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven, which require an accurate birth time. The Moon's sign carries a ±6° margin: if it falls near a sign boundary, the sign could vary. Positions for all other planets are reliable.

The sky at birth

No birth time is documented for Rivaldo. The Ascendant, the Midheaven, and the house positions cannot be determined; the reading is confined to planetary sign placements and the aspects between planets. The positions below are calculated for noon local time and are accurate to a fraction of a degree for the slow-moving bodies.

The Moon is near 18°30' Cancer (noon position, ±7° margin). Sun is at 29°38' Aries. Mercury is at 4°55' Aries. Venus is at 14°50' Gemini. Mars is at 15°14' Gemini. Jupiter is at 8°16' Capricorn. Saturn is at 4°44' Gemini. Uranus is at 15°42' Libra, retrograde. Neptune is at 4°46' Sagittarius, retrograde. Pluto is at 29°56' Virgo, retrograde.

3 bodies occupy Gemini (Venus, Mars and Saturn) — a concentration that stands out as a structural feature of the chart.

The tightest major aspects between planets: Saturn opposite Neptune (0°01'); Mercury trine Neptune (0°10'); Mercury sextile Saturn (0°11'); Venus conjunct Mars (0°23'); Mars trine Uranus (0°28'); Venus trine Uranus (0°52').

Neptune sextile Pluto (4°49') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.

The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Saturn semi-square Vesta (0°16'); Neptune sesquiquadrate Vesta (0°17'); Ceres semi-square Pallas (0°34'); Mars sesquiquadrate North Node (0°35'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.

The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context

Pluto crossed Virgo from the late 1950s to 1971. In astrological tradition the passage is linked to the transformation of work, health, technique, and systems of organization — the generation that came of age amid automation and the reorganization of labour.

Rivaldo (born 1972) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: Romário · Roberto Carlos · Samuel Eto'o. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading

The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.

The Sun in Aries is the most prominent structural feature available without a birth time, centring the chart on initiative, directness, and the will to begin. There is no Ascendant or Midheaven to anchor the angles, so the reading rests on sign placements and the aspects between planets rather than on houses.

Among the personal planets, the Moon in Cancer is associated in tradition with attachment, memory, and protection (the Moon's sign is given for the noon chart and may shift with an exact time); Mercury in Aries with initiative, directness, and the will to begin; Venus in Gemini with curiosity, exchange, and versatility; and Mars in Gemini with curiosity, exchange, and versatility. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.

Saturn opposite Neptune (0°01'): tradition reads structure, limitation, and discipline set in polarity with dissolution, imagination, and idealism.

Mercury trine Neptune (0°10'): tradition reads thought and communication in easy flow with dissolution, imagination, and idealism.

Mercury sextile Saturn (0°11'): tradition reads thought and communication in supportive contact with structure, limitation, and discipline.

Venus conjunct Mars (0°23'): tradition reads values, attraction, and harmony fused with drive, assertion, and action.

These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.

A parallel life

The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.

Rivaldo Vítor Borba Ferreira was born on 19 April 1972 in Recife, in the north-east of Brazil. He grew up in poverty, an experience he has often described as shaping his determination, and developed in Brazilian club football before a move to Europe with Deportivo La Coruña and then FC Barcelona.

At Barcelona he became one of the finest attacking players in the world, a left-footed forward and playmaker known for spectacular goals, including memorable long-range and overhead strikes. He won Spanish league titles and, in 1999, was awarded the Ballon d'Or and named FIFA World Player of the Year, at the peak of his career.

With the Brazil national team he was part of the attacking line that won the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan, contributing important goals throughout the tournament alongside other great Brazilian forwards of the era.

His later career took him to clubs in Italy, Greece, and elsewhere, and he continued to play professionally to an unusually advanced age, including a return to football in Brazil.

Rivaldo is remembered as one of the outstanding attacking players of his generation, a forward whose technique and capacity for spectacular goals made him a central figure in one of the strongest periods of Brazilian football.
