The sky at birth

With a documented birth time, the full chart can be cast. The Ascendant falls at 0°15' Leo and the Midheaven at 15°02' Aries, which fixes the angular framework and allows the planets to be placed in houses.

Sun is at 24°24' Pisces, house 9. Moon is at 8°22' Aquarius, house 7. Mercury is at 27°55' Aquarius, house 8. Venus is at 9°15' Taurus, house 10. Mars is at 14°24' Capricorn, house 6. Jupiter is at 1°17' Taurus, house 10. Saturn is at 1°56' Capricorn, house 6. Uranus is at 0°51' Capricorn, house 6. Neptune is at 9°58' Capricorn, house 6. Pluto is at 12°20' Scorpio, house 4, retrograde.

4 bodies occupy Capricorn (Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune) — a concentration that stands out as a structural feature of the chart.

The tightest major aspects between planets: Jupiter trine Uranus (0°26'); Jupiter trine Saturn (0°39'); Venus trine Neptune (0°44'); Moon square Venus (0°52'); Saturn conjunct Uranus (1°05'); Mars sextile Pluto (2°04').

Neptune sextile Pluto (2°22') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.

The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Chiron square North Node (0°01'); Lilith quincunx North Node (0°01'); Chiron sextile Lilith (0°02'); Moon sesquiquadrate Chiron (0°07'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.

The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context

Pluto moved through its own sign, Scorpio, from 1983 to 1995. In astrological tradition Pluto in Scorpio is read as an intensification of themes of power, depth, crisis, and regeneration — the generation that grew up amid the digital turn and a transformed relationship to risk.

Stephen Curry (born 1988) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: LeBron James · Kevin Durant · Magic Johnson. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading

The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.

The Sun in Pisces centres the chart on imagination, dissolution, and empathy. With the Ascendant in Leo, tradition adds expression, pride, and the creative self as the threshold through which that energy meets the world; the Sun marks the central drive, the Ascendant the manner of approach.

Among the personal planets, the Moon in Aquarius is associated in tradition with independence, abstraction, and the collective; Mercury in Aquarius with independence, abstraction, and the collective; Venus in Taurus with stability, persistence, and the tangible; and Mars in Capricorn with ambition, structure, and the long view. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.

Jupiter trine Uranus (0°26'): tradition reads expansion and meaning in easy flow with disruption and innovation.

Jupiter trine Saturn (0°39'): tradition reads expansion and meaning in easy flow with structure, limitation, and discipline.

Venus trine Neptune (0°44'): tradition reads values, attraction, and harmony in easy flow with dissolution, imagination, and idealism.

Moon square Venus (0°52'): tradition reads emotional life and instinct in friction with values, attraction, and harmony.

These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.

Astrology is a symbolic language with 2,500 years of literature. The reading above is interpretive, not explanatory.

Astrian does not claim that the natal chart of Stephen Curry caused or determined any of the above. Astrology is a symbolic system with 2,500 years of literature. Its capacity for retrospective description does not imply explanatory capacity.

A parallel life

The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.

Wardell Stephen Curry II was born on 14 March 1988 in Akron, Ohio, the son of Dell Curry, himself a long-serving NBA player. He grew up around professional basketball and, despite being overlooked by major college programmes for his relatively slight build, developed into a prolific scorer at Davidson College before entering the NBA.

He spent his career with the Golden State Warriors, where he became the central figure of one of the most successful teams of his era. With the Warriors he won multiple NBA championships and was twice named the league's Most Valuable Player, including one season in which he received the award unanimously, a first in league history.

Curry is widely credited with transforming the way basketball is played through his extraordinary range and accuracy from beyond the three-point line. His shooting reshaped offensive strategy across the sport, encouraging teams at every level to prioritise long-range scoring, and he became the league's all-time leader in three-point field goals made.

He also enjoyed international success with the United States national team and became one of the most marketable and popular athletes in the world, his influence extending into youth basketball and the global growth of the game.

Curry is regarded as one of the greatest shooters in the history of basketball and one of the defining players of his generation, a figure whose individual skill changed the tactical character of the sport.
