About this chart
No birth time is documented for this person. The chart therefore shows planetary positions in their signs, the slow aspects between them, and the generational context — but not house placements, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven, which require an accurate birth time. The Moon's sign carries a ±6° margin: if it falls near a sign boundary, the sign could vary. Positions for all other planets are reliable.

The sky at birth
No birth time is documented for Jerry Rice. The Ascendant, the Midheaven, and the house positions cannot be determined; the reading is confined to planetary sign placements and the aspects between planets. The positions below are calculated for noon local time and are accurate to a fraction of a degree for the slow-moving bodies.
The Moon is near 22°32' Aries (noon position, ±7° margin). Sun is at 19°52' Libra. Mercury is at 6°51' Libra, retrograde. Venus is at 25°58' Scorpio. Mars is at 0°54' Leo. Jupiter is at 3°14' Pisces, retrograde. Saturn is at 4°46' Aquarius. Uranus is at 3°47' Virgo. Neptune is at 12°21' Scorpio. Pluto is at 11°11' Virgo.
The tightest major aspects between planets: Jupiter opposite Uranus (0°34'); Neptune sextile Pluto (1°10'); Mercury trine Saturn (2°05'); Sun opposite Moon (2°40'); Mars opposite Saturn (3°52'); Venus trine Mars (4°55').
Neptune sextile Pluto (1°10') is structural but generational — an alignment of slow-moving outer planets shared across many birth years.
The engine also registers tight minor aspects involving asteroids and calculated points: Mars semi-sextile Vesta (0°05'); Saturn opposite North Node (0°07'); Mercury quincunx Chiron (0°09'); Neptune trine Pallas (0°25'). These are reported for completeness and carry less weight in traditional reading.
The chart was calculated using NASA JPL DE441 ephemerides, sub-arcsecond precision.

Astronomical context
Pluto crossed Virgo from the late 1950s to 1971. In astrological tradition the passage is linked to the transformation of work, health, technique, and systems of organization — the generation that came of age amid automation and the reorganization of labour.
Jerry Rice (born 1962) belongs to this generational configuration. Astrian groups profiles by such shared signatures rather than by any claim of shared destiny. Related profiles in Astrian: Joe Montana · Peyton Manning · Aaron Rodgers. The symbolic reading is correlative, not causal.

Symbolic reading
The following describes what classical astrological tradition associates with these configurations. Astrian does not apply these descriptions to the person's biography.
The Sun in Libra is the most prominent structural feature available without a birth time, centring the chart on balance, relationship, and proportion. There is no Ascendant or Midheaven to anchor the angles, so the reading rests on sign placements and the aspects between planets rather than on houses.
Among the personal planets, the Moon in Aries is associated in tradition with initiative, directness, and the will to begin (the Moon's sign is given for the noon chart and may shift with an exact time); Mercury in Libra with balance, relationship, and proportion; Venus in Scorpio with intensity, depth, and the will to transform; and Mars in Leo with expression, pride, and the creative self. These placements describe registers of feeling, thought, attraction, and action as the tradition catalogues them, independent of the life that follows.
Jupiter opposite Uranus (0°34'): tradition reads expansion and meaning set in polarity with disruption and innovation.
Neptune sextile Pluto (1°10'): tradition reads dissolution, imagination, and idealism in supportive contact with depth, power, and transformation.
Mercury trine Saturn (2°05'): tradition reads thought and communication in easy flow with structure, limitation, and discipline.
Sun opposite Moon (2°40'): tradition reads identity and central purpose set in polarity with emotional life and instinct.
These placements are presented as a symbolic portrait, correlative and never causal — a description within the tradition's vocabulary, not an explanation of the life that follows.
Astrology is a symbolic language with 2,500 years of literature. The reading above is interpretive, not explanatory.
Astrian does not claim that the natal chart of Jerry Rice caused or determined any of the above. Astrology is a symbolic system with 2,500 years of literature. Its capacity for retrospective description does not imply explanatory capacity.
A parallel life
The following are verified biographical facts. No connection to the natal chart is implied.
Jerry Lee Rice was born on October 13, 1962, in Starkville, Mississippi. He grew up in Crawford, Mississippi, and attended B.L. Moor High School, where he did not initially play organized football. He went on to play college football at Mississippi Valley State University, a historically Black college, where his performances drew attention from NFL scouts.
The San Francisco 49ers selected Rice with the 16th overall pick in the 1985 NFL Draft. He played for the 49ers from 1985 to 2000, forming one of the most celebrated partnerships in football history with quarterbacks Joe Montana and Steve Young. During his time with San Francisco, he won three Super Bowl rings (after Super Bowls XXIII, XXIV, and XXIX).
Rice's statistical achievements are extraordinary. He retired as the all-time leader in receptions (1,549), receiving yards (22,895), and receiving touchdowns (197). He also scored a touchdown in a record 166 consecutive games over a portion of his career. He was named Super Bowl MVP following Super Bowl XXIII and was a 13-time Pro Bowl selection.
After leaving the 49ers, Rice played briefly for the Oakland Raiders (2001 to 2004) and the Seattle Seahawks (2004), before retiring. His combination of route-running precision, athleticism, and work ethic made him a benchmark for the wide receiver position.
Rice was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010. He has remained involved in the sport as a commentator and ambassador. His records in the major receiving categories have stood since his retirement and are widely viewed as among the most durable in professional sports.
